A Holiday Beach Villa in Pafos, Cyprus – Great Choice

By Kate Deas-Smith

A holiday beach villa in Pafos, Cyprus is a great choice of Cyprus property for sale. The Pafos district starts at the foothills of the Troodos Mountains and goes through to Polis in Cyprus, taking in a huge variety of landscapes and locations.

For many a holiday beach villa in Pafos, Cyprus fufils the dream of having vacations in the sun, where the weather will never let you down, pool parties and barbies can be arranged days in advance without anxious glances to the skies to see if it going to rain – trust me – it won’t!! Outside space is almost more of a priority than inside as that is where most people spend their time in the summer months, the winters as well as the temperatures are still warm, but it does get chilly when the sun goes down.

Shade in an important consideration and all properties benefit from a pergola where a table and chairs can be put out of the direct sunlight. The traditional coverings of grapevines or bougainvillea look wonderful and enhance the exterior as well as being practical. A holiday beach villa in Pafos usually benefits from a refreshing sea breeze, making the temperatures seem more bearable than just a few kilometres inland.

Polis in Cyprus gives the visitor the taste of authentic Cyprus, with fantastic scenery taking in mountains through to the coast. The Akamas peninsula is sometimes cited as the last piece of genuine wilderness left in Cyprus with a rugged coastline of sparkling azure waters and a backbone of forested hills. Cyprus property for sale bordering the peninsula also popular, appealing to the country-lover who enjoys all the outdoors has to offer, walking, hiking, trail riding, horse riding, angling, bird watching and those less energetic can enjoy just sitting in the village coffee shops watching life go by.

In a holiday beach villa in Pafos you will notice less the seasonal changes on the island, whereas further inland the spring brings blooming anemones, cyclamen, poppies, gladioli, crown daisies, iris, tulips and around fifty species and subspecies of orchids. Luckily the district is so accessible that either location is within a short drive, so no-one misses out which ever your main preference is – coastal or inland. Cyprus property for sale is available in all areas and can be for full time relocation or for holidays and rentals to family and friends right through to the hard-nosed investor who appreciates the great return on their money in capital appreciation.

Both Polis in Cyprus and a holiday beach villa in Pafos enjoy an area rich in history, the entire town of Pafos is on the UNESCO World Heritage list of cultural and national treasures adding to that the diversity of the landscape in the district, the individual personalities of the towns and villages and the range of activities available makes buying a Cyprus property for sale in this area is a no-brainer!!

A Short Vacation

A Short Vacation

By Ruth Gala

Summer has gone but memories of it still lingers in my mind. Spending summer vacation with my family is a moment to cherish. I could still recall the smell of fresh air, the laughter of my child and that knowing smile of my husband. Amidst the preparations and the hassles a day before the trip, everything was all worth it. Whoa!!! I’m getting sentimental here. Anyway, it was a well spent summer vacation at Camiguin Island. We arrived at the port of Camiguin at around 11:00 in the morning and took a ride to Paras Beach Resort where we had our stay.

When we arrived at the resort, people were so gracious and accommodating that made us feel we have choosen the right place to stay. In our room we decided to just take a few minutes to relax and settle down before we took our lunch. After having our lunch, my husband, my son and his nanny went back to our room while i made my siesta beside the pool. I have been awakened by my husbands voice, asking me to go out with him. I’m so thrilled because he prepared a ride for us and planned a tour around Camiguin with just the two of us. It was a gloomy day and rain started to pour that only adds up to our adventure spirit.

Riding in a motorbike, enjoying the rain and sights with my husband beside me makes me feel so happy. In every place we stop, we alternately took pictures of our selves, it was so much fun! Even if we’re drained in the rain, it never stopped us from enjoying each other and the place. It took us an hour or two to get back to our hotel with a smile pasted on our faces. We were just in time when our son woke up from his sleep, so we immediately took our shower and played with him inside our room since the rain was pouring heavier.

Early in the morning, my husband rented a vessel to take us to the White Island. It was just a minute ride from the resort where we stayed. When we arrived there, it was already packed with people who were in their vacation too. I noticed that everyone were enjoying their side of the beach, some were riding jet ski, others were doing wind surfing, and some were just enjoying the beach and fooling around with their buddies and still others were para-sailing! What a joyous sight it was! My son who seemed too eager to take a dip in the water asked me to change him for his swimming trunk. My husband and I were so enchanted by the water and its surroundings that we took pictures of the place and we both enjoyed the sand and water too along with our son. Although, we only had a short time vacation and wasn’t able to visit other tourist spots around Camiguin it was a vacation worth remembering!

Advantages of Vacation Rentals

Advantages of Vacation Rentals

By Jerry A. Blackburn

There are few places better suited to relaxing and enjoying time off like the beach. The world offers so many great ones it can be hard to decide which one to spend your time in; be it in Miami, Florida or La Manga, Spain. Many people complain about the impersonalization they find with many hotels and motels. Naturally when you spend your money, you expect to be treated like a person with individual likes and dislikes. For this reason many people are deciding to stay in vacation rentals instead. You can expect easy access to the beach and privacy unlike any hotel can offer. The length of your intended stay, how many people are coming with you, and your personal activities preferences can all be planned for and your good time ensured.

If you plan to vacation solo, you can engage in activities as much or as little as you wish. With a beach rental accommodation it isn’t necessary to be disturbed by housekeeping services or other guests. You can enjoy the beach alone or strike up a conversation with other people. The nightlife around most beaches is usually exciting and wild. A single person out to have a good time won’t have any trouble finding what they are looking for. Of course you can participate in daytime activities like scuba diving and surfing easily as well.

Maybe you are considering a vacation for just the two of you. It shouldn’t be too hard to figure out the advantages of a beach rental property. In addition to all of the above mentioned amenities, you will have the private opportunity to take moonlit walks along the beach with your sweetie or enjoy an elegant dinner in one of the area’s close by eateries. Many of these accommodations also include a kitchen, so you could choose to eat in for a romantic evening as well. These places are great to consider for honeymoons, anniversary celebrations, or just to get away alone for a while.

Family vacations are alive and well. You can take the whole family along for some fun in the sun. Being so close to the beach ensures you can easily see your children while they play in the water and are less likely to have to contend with large crowds. Many families are choosing this type of vacation to plan their family reunions around. You have the option of spending the days together reconnecting and then have the privacy you crave in the evenings. It’s a great way to hold your own private celebrations.

Regardless of the number of people you are vacationing with, all of you can enjoy kayaking, surfing, swimming, excellent golf courses, and many other summer time activities all conveniently located to your beach rental property. The prices are comparable to a hotel stay and the benefits are enormous. Look into experiencing this exciting way to vacation before planning your next trip. Travel and rental agencies are standing by.

Affordable Vacation Home on Wheels

Affordable Vacation Home on Wheels

By Robert Scribner

We all dream of a place to go to that is ours. Somewhere near the ocean, in the woods or in warm climate. Some folks buy Time shares or condos. Some even buy 2 or 3 vacation homes. But most of us do not have the resources to do that, especially if you’re a Redneck like me. But I found a great solution.

A Trailer or 5th Wheel.

No, I am not suggesting you live like trailer trash, I really think this is a good idea, and I did it last year in Sequim, Washington.

I love Fishing at John Wayne Marina, in Sequim, Washington. I go there every weekend to Halibut and Salmon fish, along with a little crabbing. It’s about 150 miles from our home and it really gets old driving it all summer.

We looked at land up there, and it averages about $150,000. So we did a little math and here is what we came up with.

I already have a 26 ft trailer, so lets say it cost about $20,000. About the same as a down payment for land up there. Then, if you actually bought some property up there, you still need utilities installed and monthly utility payments every month. Also the average monthly property payment of $1000.00, to $1600.00 including taxes.

Yes, some would argue that it’s an investment, but what if you hate it in 5 years and can’t get rid of it?

So we took our 26 ft Trailer to Sequim Bay RV Resort, right across the street from John Wayne Marina, and setup a monthly site with them for $400.00 a month.

Now we have our own place in Sequim. We can come and go anytime we want and know one cares if we have our two dogs with us.

So tell me. Does it make more sense to buy a trailer, and locate it where you want at about 65% less cost than buying a piece of land. Is it not true that a loan to buy land, would cost more a month in interest, than $400.00 a month?

You now have a vacation home and extra money to actually enjoy it. So go by a new or used trailer and move it around the country. It’s Great!!

Amazing Vacation Homes – Just For The Rich And Famous?

Amazing Vacation Homes – Just For The Rich And Famous?

By Wade Robins

Do people dream of having their own amazing vacation homes to which they can retreat when the stresses of everyday life just become too burdensome? Apparently they do, because the documentary series “Amazing Vacation Homes” was one of the Travel Channel’s most viewed.

So if you find yourself, in the cold wet dark days of winter, fantasizing about amazing vacation homes in warm, sunny, palm-and bougainvillea graced settings where the balmy breezes carry the whisper of breaking surf through your windows, you’re not alone.

If just hearing the names of Santa Barbara, or Aspen, or Gold Coast or Lake Como floods you mind with pictures of amazing vacation homes to which you can return each evening after a day on the beach or on the slopes or water, and a dinner at a world-class restaurant accompanied by some of the world’s best wine, you’re not alone.

Amazing vacation homes have traditionally been seen as the special domain of the world’s rich and famous, but as the Baby Boomers are reaching retirement age, and have more time to travel, and the money to buy a second home in which to spend their winters, the market for those looking for amazing vacation homes is growing rapidly.

And there are amazing vacation homes to suit any taste; from mountain lodges, to beachfront condos, to apartments in the heart of the world’s great cities with easy access to sporting events and cultural venues. There are country retreats where those with a yen to develop their green thumbs can turn humble farmhouses into amazing vacation homes with gardens paths, waterways, and hidden floral delights.

Build Your Own Amazing Vacation Home

Many amazing vacation homes, in fact, have been constructed from other edifices from barns, railroad depots, schoolhouses, lighthouses, and old country stores. If you think the idea of taking buildings with decades of built-up character and turning them into amazing vacation homes has its appeal, you can start by calling realtors in the area where you’d like to spend your vacation time. Historical societies are also good sources of information on interesting properties and whether or not they the can be used for residences.

Transforming quaint old structures into amazing vacation homes is, above all, a labor of love, and can require significant financial resources and years of time. But if you start when you’re young, and spend part of your vacations creating your amazing vacation home of the future, by the time it’s complete it will be full of family memories and uniquely your own.

An Inexpensive Holiday Home

An Inexpensive Holiday Home

By Jack S. Blacksmith

If you own a home, you can be part of the growing network of home exchange systems. It does not have to be the same kind of a house, and it is easy to find exchange partners. You just pick homes that are comfortable for you and your family,
and then try to find the home whose owners would like to vacation in your area. Voila! Instant holiday home. Many times people who frequently do home exchanges are open to almost any location that is interesting. Besides the financial savings, you also have the advantage of having someone in your home while you are away. You also see to it that your home exchanger’s home is watched over during their absence.

Traveling is fun but can be expensive. Even if you are able to get cheap airfare, it can be really expensive to stay in a
hotel and eat out at restaurants all the time, especially if you are travelling with your family. Home exchanges offer
a great solution. They are not very well known, so people don’t really know what a great advantage they can be. Let us
say you would like to go to England but when you checked the hotel rates you were shocked at how expensive they were. But if you were able to locate a family in England and use their home, your lodging would be free. This kind of a house swap is a win on both sides.

Exchanging one’s home is not that well known, but it is growing in popularity. They are especially desirable in large
cities. Veteran home exchangers recruit their friends to help out the exchanging party by meeting them, explaining the
house, and giving them ideas about what to see and do in the area. Don’t forget, the owners won’t be there because they
will be travelling to your home. This idea works whether you are traveling alone or with your family; you can exchange
an apartment or an entire house. Many times, you can find a swap that is a perfect match. For instance, if you have a

family with small children, perhaps you could find another family with small children and all of their toys, video games,
etc. will be waiting for them. Living right in the residential neigborhoods of a country is a great way to learn about
and enjoy the culture.

Retirees especially love to do home exchanges because they do not have many restrictions on when they can travel. When
you do a home exchange, your airfare is just about your only expense if you are able to exchange vehicles as well. This
is a big savings since you will not have to rent a car-just pay for the gas. If your exchange partner likes animals, you
can also save money by leaving your pet home and not having to board him.
Surprisingly, insurance companies are in favor of home exchanges, since it means your home is not empty, vulnerable to thieves. You should clarify this with your insurance company to make sure that your exchange partners will be covered while they stay in your home.

Many people may worry about having strangers in their home, but you can get to know the exchangers ahead of time. Email and phone one another and maybe even consider exchanging pictures to get to know one another. You should take advantage of these contacts to exchange information about your home and region. Make sure you ask a lot of questions and are clear about what each side thinks they are getting. You can also ask for references for further assurance. Do whatever it takes to be comfortable about leaving your home and everything in it in strangers’ hands.

Most experiences by home exchangers has been positive, but there have been cases where the expectations were not met on one side or the other, or if one of the parties damaged the home of the other.

Despite all of the advantages of home exchange, free accomodations, free vehicles, free pet and house sitting, laundry facilities and inexpensive meals at home, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable with your home exchange partners before you decide to take this step.

An Overview Of Caribbean Vacation Homes

December 11, 2008 in Vacation Homes by Julaluk

An Overview Of Caribbean Vacation Homes

By Mike Selvon

Have you ever dreamed of having a vacation home in a tropical paradise? If you are willing to invest a little time and research, you will be able to find many Caribbean vacation homes on the market.

Unlike visiting a Caribbean beach resort or a hotel, Caribbean vacation homes are a long term investment. Searching through web sites and talking to a few international real estate agents will put you on the right path. Having a real estate agent well versed in international sales might be your best bet.

Doing business online can be risky, as you wouldn’t want to be taken in a scam and end up losing your money. An international agent will know all the ins and outs of the process and you’ll most likely have a very specific paper trail by the time all is said and done.

Consider your budget carefully. Know exactly how much you want to spend and how much you’ll be able to afford in the Caribbean vacation homes market. Visit a few different islands to see which one suits you best. There are a lot to choose from, each one more beautiful than the next, but since you’re making such a big investment, you don’t want to rush and find out later that there was something better someplace else.

While you might end up using the services of an agent, you can still do a lot of your searching online. The internet provides an endless resource for sales and locations. If you don’t want to buy a home, maybe you can find one for rent. A Caribbean rental villa might be a better option for you if you don’t want the long term commitment.

Of course, if you do decide on buying one of the available Caribbean vacation homes on the market, you also have to consider what you are going to do with it in the off-season. Will you leave the house empty or will you rent the house out to others?

Timeshares are also another alternative. With a timeshare, you and several other people are all buying a share in the same house or condo and you all schedule your times to visit throughout the year. With a timeshare, you pay for someone else to maintain the upkeep on the building.

When you’re not there for the rest of the year, you don’t have to worry about it at all. Timeshares can also be traded with other people around the world. You might be able to trade time in these Caribbean vacation homes with someone else on another island or another part of the world for time in theirs.

You can also check auction sites for Caribbean vacation homes. Auctions are a great place to get bargains and pay far less than you would going through some of the other sources. With all the choices available you are sure to find one that fits you. Before you know it, you will be looking forward to plenty of days in your vacation home.

The caribbean vacation portal owned by Mike Selvon contains more great tips on caribbean vacation homes. Why not visit us to educate yourself further and leave a comment at our vacation blog.

Bangkok Apartments

By Robert Bang

While visiting the beautiful location of Bangkok you should consider a Bangkok apartment instead of staying in a hotel. These apartments are the next thing to being in your own home.

The Bangkok apartment is also a very affordable choice with studio apartments as low as $12.00 per day and penthouse suites with two bedrooms and two bathrooms for as little as $50.00 per day. This is a much cheaper option with many more amenities and you can rent them by the day or by the month.

Your Bangkok apartment will be fully furnished and most will offer you satellite television, laundry service, and 24 hour security. You will have plenty of room to relax and enjoy your stay without the feeling of a cramped hotel. Some will even offer you internet service so you can keep up with all of the news from home.

Many of the Bangkok apartments offer mini marts where you can grab a quick snack or some of the necessities you forgot to bring with you. There is no need to get out and travel to another location when you will find everything you need under one roof.

Some apartment complexes offer hair salons which is always something the ladies enjoy. Perhaps you have a big evening planned and she wants her hair to look its best. Being in a strange area she will not know which hairdresser to choose. This way she will not even have to leave the premises to get a beautiful style and be ready for a great night out on the town.

If you search for a Bangkok apartment which is centrally located you will find that you have access to all of the attractions the city has to offer. You will be within minutes of great shopping, entertainment, and close to the Skytrain station that will take you where you want to go. You will also find big supermarkets where you can shop for some great food items just in case you decide you want to spend an evening relaxing at home.

Regardless of the reason for your visit, you will find that a Bangkok apartment offers you a great alternative to the hotel room. You will have much more room and the same amount of services at your disposal.
